The Stuchd an Lochain (in Gaelic Stùc an Lochain ) is a 960 meter high mountain in Scotland . Its name roughly means mountain by the small lake . The mountain, classified as Munro , is located in Perthshire in a mountain range that separates the upper part of Glen Lyon from a small side valley in which the Loch an Daimh reservoir is located.

Among the mountains in this group of mountains, the Stuchd an Lochain stands out due to its rocky north side, which sets it apart from the neighboring mountains, which are largely made up of grassy slopes. The almost circular lake Lochan nan Cat lies in the semicircular cirque formed by the north side . A ridge connects to the west, which connects the summit with the neighboring 815 meter high pre-summit Meall an Odhar . To the east there is also a ridge running from the summit, at the end of which lies the 927 meter high Sròn Chona Choirein, classified as Top des Stuchd an Lochain . To the south, the mountain slopes down into Glen Lyon with gentler slopes covered with grass and heather.
The Stuchd an Lochain can be climbed on several routes. From the north, the most popular approach among Munro excavators leads from the foot of the Loch an Daimh dam to the summit. Another approach begins south of the mountain in Glen Lyon at the small settlement Pubil below the Loch Lyon dam .
