Studies on the History of Southeast Europe is an academic book series in which interdisciplinary studies on Southeast European history are published. The series was founded in 1986 by Gunnar Hering and has since been published by Peter Lang . Current editors are Olga Katsiardi-Hering , Max Demeter Peyfuss and Maria A. Stassinopoulou .

In addition to history, the series deals with linguistics , politics and law with a focus on literary and cultural research. It includes both monographs and anthologies in German and French.
