Studies in Oriental Religions

Studies in Oriental Religions is a religious studies book series by Harrassowitz Verlag , which has been published in Wiesbaden at irregular intervals since 1976 and deals with religions that have their origins in the Middle East or the Asian world. The series was founded by Hans-Joachim Klimkeit and Walther Heissig and is considered one of the most important publication series in this subject. Today it is edited by Wassilios Klein and Karénina Kollmár-Paulenz. Central Asia is a focus of the series, but it is also devoted to comparative religious and historical topics. Their spectrum ranges from historical religions such as Manichaeism along the Silk Road to aspects of the religions of smaller peoples of the Middle East or the Christian Orient.
