The Acoustic Art Studio is one of Markus Heuger and Frank Hilberg (up to 2001 by Klaus Schöning ) led department of WDR - radio , mainly due to an Intermedia specializes sound productions.

The radio play editorial of the WDR 3 in Cologne broadcast since January 3, 1963 under the name radio plays in III. Program . Since then, this series has developed into one of the international centers of Ars Acustica . At the end of the 1960s, the name was initially renamed WDR3-HörSpielStudio and finally in 1991 Studio Acoustic Art . In the series Ars Acoustica from WERGO be CDs released.
