Sturm won a total of three championships in this class, which entitled them to participate in the Central German championship. In 1913 the Chemnitz team reached the round of 16, but failed at Halleschen FC 96 with 1: 2.

After 1921, Sturm Chemnitz was able to win the championship of the Central Saxony Gau for the third time in 1930. In the subsequent games for the Central German championship, the Chemnitz team reached the semi-finals after victories against SV Zittau and SV 08 Steinach . Sturm Chemnitz lost 3: 4 to the favorites VfB Leipzig .

With the introduction of the Gauliga Sachsen in 1933, the sporting successes ended. Due to the previous placements, Sturm was only included in the second highest division. The club did not return to the Gauliga until 1945.
