Stuttgart Internet eXchange

The Stuttgart Internet eXchange (S-IX) is a non-commercial German Internet node in Stuttgart . Its establishment in April 2005 should be an incentive for network operators to become active in the region. The S-IX is based on the Zettachring in the Fasanenhof Ost industrial estate. The Internet node is operated by ISP Service eG. 18 companies are currently connected to the peering point (as of June 2020).

At the headquarters of the S-IX there is also a data center for euNetworks Managed Services GmbH and LF.net Netzwerksysteme GmbH.

  • As a member you get one or more 100 Mbit / s, Gigabit or 10 Gbit / s Ethernet ports
  • Spread over four locations
  • A Terascale switch from Force10 serves as the main switch
