The Suchý vrch (German Dürrer Berg ) is a two-peaked mountain in the Linsdorf Forest ( Bukovohorska Hornatina ), part of the Eagle Mountains .
position
The Dürre Berg and the Linsdorfer Wald are located at the southeast end of the Eagle Mountains. The Dürre Berg is about 6 km southwest of the town of Králíky ( Grulich ) and about 7 km northeast of the town of Jablonné nad Orlicí ( fork ). The Dürre Berg forms a distinctive double peak with its slightly higher Schwarzeberg summit and the slightly lower Bradlo summit ( broad stone ), which are separated by a flat saddle. The Schwarzeberg marks a corner point of the historical Bohemian-Moravian border and is located near the historical German-Czech language border west of Těchonín ( Linsdorf ) and Orlička ( Worlitschka ).
Hydrology
The Dürre Berg lies on the most important European watershed between the North Sea and the Black Sea. The south-eastern slope is drained by tributaries of the Březná ( Friesian ), which flow over the Moravská Sázava ( Moravian Sasau ) and the March into the Danube , the other slopes are drained by tributaries of the Silent Eagle into the North Sea. The streams are: to the west the Jamnenský potok ( Jamney Brook ), to the south the Orličský potok, which flows over the drought mountain meadows, and to the east the Bokovické potok ( Ullersdorfer Bach ) and the Černovodský potok ( Rothwasserbach ).
Access
From the parking lot at the Rothwassersattel ( Červenovodské sedlo ), along the road I / 11, a green marking No. 1411 leads over the Mitterberg ( Prostřední vrch ) and the Hvězda intersection on the Schwarzeberg. From Gabel and Worlitschka, the red bars lead to the Hvězda intersection , as does the blue marking of red water ( Červená Voda ).
Summit area
Right at the top there is a radio station and a mountain hut ( Kramářova chata na Suchém vrchu ) and the Suchý vrch observation tower. Another military radio station is in the saddle above the hut. Today's hut was built in 1928 and renovated in 2010 with EU funding.
