Search ( Ukrainian Сухе ; Russian Сухое Suchoje ) is a village in the south of the Ukrainian Poltava Oblast with about 150 inhabitants (2001).
Administratively, the village belongs to the district council of the 4 km northeast of Lebedyne ( Лебедине ; until 2016 Kirowe ) in the west of Kobeljaky district .
The village is located at an altitude of 92 m at the source of the Wismachka ( Вісьмачка ), an approximately 10 km long right tributary of the Worskla , 13 km southwest of the Kobeljaky district center and 75 km southwest of the Poltava oblast center .
Personalities
The Ukrainian and Soviet writer, literary critic and social activist Oles Honchar (1918–1995) spent his childhood in the village with his maternal grandparents.
