Suddendorf is a district of the town of Schüttorf in the Grafschaft Bentheim district in Lower Saxony .

history

The name Suddendorf comes from the earlier name Zudendorpe , which results from the location south of Schüttorf. Suddendorf has about 1000 inhabitants, who are spread over several settlements and farms. Until 2011, Suddendorf was an independent municipality in the joint municipality of Schüttorf .

Due to the growing debt burden of the community, the Suddendorfer Council decided on January 6, 2010 and the Schüttorfer Council on January 20, 2010 the incorporation into the city of Schüttorf. The incorporation took place on November 1, 2011.
