The Sudirman Mountains ( Indonesian Barisan Sudirman ), also Nassau Mountains , is a mountain range in the Indonesian part of the island of New Guinea ( West Papua ) and forms the western part of the Maoke Mountains . The mountain range is also called Dugunduguoo by the indigenous people . Parts of the Dugunduguoo are considered sacred by the population. The following mountains are part of the massif (selection):
- 4884 m Carstensz pyramid - highest mountain in Oceania and part of the Seven Summits
- 4870 m Sumantri - the second highest mountain in Oceania and part of the Seven Second Summits
- 4862 m Ngga Pulu
- 4820 m (or 4808 m ) Carstensz Oriental (also Carstensz Timor , Carstensz East )
