Sukhen Dey

Sukhen Dey (born March 28, 1989 ) is an Indian weightlifter .

Career

Dey won bronze in the snatch at the 2009 Junior World Championships. With the active he started in the same year at the Asian Championships in the class up to 56 kg and reached the ninth place. In 2010 he won the silver medal at the Commonwealth Games . At the Asian Games shortly thereafter, he was tenth. At the end of the year, however, he was tested positive for methylhexanamine in a doping control and banned for two years. After his suspension, Dey was sixth at the 2013 Asian Championships and first at the Commonwealth Championships . In 2014, he won the gold medal at the Commonwealth Games and finished twelfth at the Asian Games . At the 2015 Commonwealth Championships he was again first.
