Sulfonfluorescein is synthesized from 2-sulfobenzoic anhydride and resorcinol .
use
Sulfonfluorescein is used in the pH range between 5 to 8 as an indicator for determining the halide concentration . At a chloride concentration of 0.01 N, a pink precipitate forms from the yellow suspension.
