The Sulphide Lake is a Glacial Lake in North Cascades National Park in the US state of Washington . The sulphides Lake lies in a Kar on the southeast slope of Mount Shuksan at 48 ° 48 '17 " N , 121 ° 35' 2" W . Several large cascades plunge into Sulphide Lake, including the Sulphide Basin Falls, from more than 1,000 ft (approx. 300 m) height, which stem from the meltwater runoff of the Sulphide Glacier . After leaving Sulphide Lake, Sulphide Creek tumbles down at least 2,000 ft (600 m) over a series of cascades called Sulphide Creek Falls , which are among the highest waterfalls in the United States.
