Sunseeker International is a luxury motorboat manufacturer based in the United Kingdom . The company's headquarters and factory buildings are located in Poole Harbor in Poole .

Production is mainly carried out in Poole. There are seven factory buildings and shipyards of the company. An additional shipyard with greater water depth is used to build the 105 yachts and larger ships. In March 2007, the company announced a 500 job expansion program with a new facility on the Isle of Portland . A new factory is being built on New Quay Road in Poole.
In October 2002 Robert Braithwaite, founder of Sunseeker International, was named Ernst & Young ’s UK Entrepreneur of the Year.
In 2006 Robert Braithwaite carried out a £ 44 million management buy-out of the company, supported by the Bank of Scotland.
The company is featured on the Sunday Times Profit Track 100 as well as the 2008 Top Track 250 List.
The company has been part of the Chinese Wanda Group since 2013 .
Appear in pop culture
Sunseeker boats have appeared in various James Bond films since 1999. The first time a Sunseeker boat was seen in The World Is Not Enough , chasing it up the Thames in the opening scene. Sunseeker boats later showed up in Die Another Day , Casino Royale, and Quantum of Solace . At the last appearance, a 37-meter yacht and a Superhawk 43 from Sunseeker were on display. In addition, Sunseeker International Managing Director Robert Braithwaite made a cameo on one of Sunseeker's first open-cockpit speedboats, the Sovereign 17.
Furthermore, rapper Kollegah sings in the hook of his track Empire Business that he owns a Sunseeker yacht to describe his luxurious life.
criticism
According to an investigation report by the BSU , the Predator model has “considerable deficits in terms of horizontal all-round visibility”. The test results are summarized in the statement: "The arrangement of the steering position of the motor yacht 'Seewind' has not been established in accordance with the DIN EN ISO 11591: 2000 standard ."
