Vetophile
Vetophil is an Austrian cabaret group.
history
The group was founded in 2011 by Wolfgang Schiessl (* 1987), Thorben Liening-Ewert (* 1987) and René Anour (* 1983), who knew each other through their involvement in the Vetmed theater group, a Vienna student theater group.
Vetophil had their first joint appearance in November 2011 when they took part in the “Comedyknockout 2011”, a competition for young comedians, and won the competition in two rounds.
Veto Phil won four full-length performances in theater laboratory in Vienna and developed then "disturbance" her first full program, a satire on the Austrian media landscape, which celebrated 2012 premiere in March. The three then applied for the ORF casting show Die Große Chance , where they made it to the live shows, in which they were eliminated.
On June 25, 2012, there was a performance at the Orpheum in Vienna , Austria's largest cabaret stage. The performance was recorded by the station Okto-tv , which then also broadcast a portrait of the group as part of the “Kleinkunstsplitter” program on November 12, 2012.
On October 24, 2012, Vetophil presented a new short program called "OSKE (Without Sau No Boar)" at the University of Veterinary Medicine, Vienna. In 2013 further appearances of stÖrung followed, u. a. in the K4 in Kilb and in the backdrop of Vienna. In May 2014 the premiere of the program "Terror" takes place in the Orpheum .
