The Supply River is a river in the north of the Australian state of Tasmania . Its name comes from its role during colonization, where it was used as the main supply river for the region.

geography

River course

The river has its source on the western slopes of Kellys Lookout , a mountain in the Mount Careless Forest Reserve , approximately 36 km northwest of Launceston . From there it first flows southeast to the end of the mountain range and then turns its course to the northeast. It crosses under the West Tamar Highway (A7) and flows into the Tamar River at Robigana .
