The Supporting Party Mountain is a 560 m high mountain in the West Antarctic Marie Byrd Land . It rises 3 miles east of Mount Fridovich in the Harold Byrd Mountains .
He was discovered in December 1929 by the team around the geologist Laurence McKinley Gould (1896-1995) during the first Antarctic expedition (1928-1930) of the American polar explorer Richard Evelyn Byrd . The namesake was the support team ( English supporting party ), which helped the team around Gould logistically.
