Suroide with the settlement Hexenzeile is a district of the municipality Wietzendorf in the district of Heidekreis , Lower Saxony .

Suroide is located in the Lüneburg Heath north of Wietzendorf.

history

In 1658, a row school was set up in the village as well as in the neighboring villages . In 1787 the parishes of Suroide and Meinholz received their own schoolhouse , which was built between the two villages. In August 1967 the school was closed. The students have been attending classes in Wietzendorf since then.

On March 1, 1974, Suroide was incorporated into the municipality of Wietzendorf.
