Surreal is the 2007 debut album by the British band Man Raze .

Emergence

British musician Phil Collen, guitarist for Def Leppard who has lived in the US for a long time , returned to the UK in 2004 to care for his dying father. While in his home country, he also met bassist Simon Laffy, with whom he had played in the band Girl in the early 1980s . Both have been friends for decades. Collen played a few songs to Laffey that he hadn't written for Def Leppard, and they both decided they should start a band to play and record the material.

They won over the Sex Pistols co-founder and drummer Paul Cook and worked out the songs with him. Their first publication was in 2005 with the EP Skin Crawl . In 2007 they released their full album, which was mainly recorded in Joe's Garage , the studio of Def Leppard singer Joe Elliott, in Dublin . The title Turn It Up was released as a single .
