Susanna Kaysen
Susanna Kaysen (born November 11, 1948 in Cambridge ) is an American writer.
Her best-known work is the bestseller Girl, Interrupted , which was filmed under the same title (German title Durchgeknallt ). In the autobiographical work, the author tells of her experiences during an 18-month stay in psychiatry . Kaysen suffered from depression and borderline personality disorder . In the film, Susanna Kaysen was played by Winona Ryder .
Susanna Kaysen is divorced and the daughter of economist and government advisor Carl Kaysen .
