Susanne Müller (* 1958 in Stuttgart ) is a German director and film producer .

Life

Susanne Müller studied from 1981 to 1987 at the Hamburg University of Fine Arts . After initial experience with art performances, he made his first experimental films such as "Fany and Tute" and the music videos "Paris ruft", "The Doggensong" and "First work, then bread". She later made commercial music videos a. a. for Andreas Dorau , Fred Banana Combo and Der Plan .

In 1992 she founded the production company SMACfilm with the artist and filmmaker Andreas Coerper . Together they have produced over 300 satirical films, TV reports, series and documentaries to date. Their productions with and about Wigald Boning , Martin Sonneborn and Wolfgang Grupp helped them to attract nationwide attention.

In 2014 she received the Grimme Prize for the three-part report Sonneborn saves the world .

Susanne Müller lives and works in Potsdam and Hamburg.
