Susanne Vill

Susanne Vill (born January 14, 1947 in Heidelberg ) is a German musicologist , theater scholar , director , soprano and university teacher.

Life

Susanne Vill completed her training at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main , followed by a doctorate in musicology in 1975 with a thesis on Gustav Mahler . In 1986 Vill received his habilitation in theater studies from the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich .

After all, Vill worked as a university professor for almost 24 years from 1988 to 2012, primarily at the University of Bayreuth ( research institute for music theater ) and at the University of Vienna .

She was married to the administrative director of the Zurich Opera , Hannes Strasser (1924–1998).

Vill also completed a vocal degree. Her extensive concert activities in the soprano field were also reflected in radio recordings at various radio stations.
