Susi Koch

Susi Koch (born April 16, 1981 in Teterow ) is a singer and songwriter from the field of jazz pop , living in Berlin .

biography

Susi Koch completed her vocal training at the "Franz Liszt" music college in Weimar . After various concerts with a changing line-up, solo projects, collaborations in musicals and, among other things, support for Konstantin Wecker followed . Susi Koch is committed to singing lessons and young musical talent in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and Berlin.

In 2003 the band "Susi & the Beat" was founded with bassist Daniel Bätge von Clueso and drummer Tim Neuhaus of the Blue Man Group . After that she played part of the time in a band with David Engler (violin), Elias Engler (drums) and Katharina Lübke (background vocals). From spring 2010 to the end of 2010 she led the SusiKochBand with Svea Vogel (drums), Katharina Lübke (background vocals, percussion) and Steffi Klein (background vocals, percussion).

Since the end of 2010 Susi Koch has also been the creative part and front woman in the dubstep band "Feinfilter".

Since 2011 she has been working again with an old friend from her band formation from her student days ("Zuckerbrot"): Sven Mühlbradt (bass). Karsten Kipp (guitar), Falk Bonitz (synthesizer) and Steffi Klein (background vocals) take over the creative parts.

She also writes and composes for other artists or formations. In 2006 a children's album, Die Welt der Samba Kids , was published on Universal and Freie Liebe , for which Susi Koch had written the lyrics.

In 2012 Susi Koch moved back to Rostock and has since lived in a music community with the drummer Martin Pollok and the guitarist Andreas Gomoll. There they often write and rehearse in the in-house recording studio. Still there are Steffi Klein and Sven O. Mühlbradt, who travel to Rostock at regular intervals to take part in the creative process.
