Susi Schuster

Susi Schuster (born November 3, 1940 in Zwickau ; real name Susanna Thekla Schuster ) is a German pop singer who was particularly successful in the GDR . She is known as a yodel and twist singer .

Life

Susi Schuster was born in the Marienthal district of Zwickau . Her father was a music teacher. At the age of four she played the recorder , at five she was already yodelling. In 1947 she made her first public appearance in Zwickau.

From 1958 she appeared with the men's quartet The Four Brummers , singing titles such as Seven Thousand Rinder and In the Mood . In 1961 Susi Schuster appeared for the first time in the East Berlin Friedrichstadtpalast in the television program Da laughs the bear . In the 1960s she toured with Leni Statz for two years . Other well-known Schusters titles are Jodel-Twist , Long live our Trabi and their version of From the blue mountains we come. In 1992 she recorded a country CD in Denmark . To this day she is active as a yodel and country singer.

Susi Schuster is married for the second time.
