Suvi Mikkonen (born July 11, 1988 ) is a Finnish Taekwondoin . It starts in the weight class up to 57 kilograms.

Suvi Mikkonen came to Taekwondo through karate at the age of four . At the age of 13 she moved to Madrid with her parents , where she has been training professionally ever since. Her first title fights she denied at the Junior European Championship in 2002 in Heraklion . In the adult sector, she started at the European Championships in Rome in 2008 and at the 2009 World Championships in Copenhagen , but was eliminated in their opening fights.

Mikkonen reached the final of the European elimination in Kazan in January 2012 in the weight class up to 57 kilograms and qualified for the Olympic Games in London . There she was defeated by Tseng Li-cheng in the battle for the bronze medal.
