Svante Thunberg

Svante Fritz Vilhelm Ernman Thunberg (born June 10, 1969 in the municipality of Boo (also Saltsjö-Boo) in the province of Stockholm County ) is a Swedish actor, producer and author. He is chairman of Ernman Production AB and Northern Grace AB.

Life

Svante Thunberg is the son of actors Olof Thunberg and Mona Andersson and grew up in Saltsjö-Boo.

He was engaged at the Royal Dramatic Theater in 1991 and accepted the following year for three and a half years of training as an actor at the Theater and Opera College of Gothenburg University. Engaged in the Riksteatern, he toured with the performances of Unga Riks, including Tralala-la by Thomas Tidholm (1997), Sprit by Börje Lindström (1998), Irena Kraus Ciao bella (1999) and Min bror by Isa Schöier (2000) and En hopplös grabb (2001). In 1998 he worked on the TV series Skärgårdsdoktorn. He was also associated with Östgötateatern in Norrköping . In 2002 he played the leading role in Ditte Feuk's concert film Joseph - musikens förförare on Swedish television, in which he portrayed the composer Joseph Martin Kraus .

He is the husband, manager and producer of the opera singer Malena Ernman and is one of the authors of Ernman's albums Opera di fiori (2011) and Sverige (2016). Thunberg also writes scripts, is director and actor on Ernman's annual Christmas tours.

Svante Thunberg and Malena Ernman have been married since 2004 and together have two daughters who were born in 2003 and 2005 respectively. The older daughter is the environmental activist Greta Thunberg , who became known as the initiator of the school strike for ambitious climate protection , from which the school and student initiative Fridays for Future emerged . The younger daughter Beata Ernman made her first appearances as a singer.

Together, the spouses published the book Scener ur hjärtat (German: Scenes from the Heart) (2018), in which they talk about their daughters' autism and other neuropsychiatric diagnoses , and how Greta's involvement caused a family crisis.
