Franco Micieli di Biase

Franco Micieli di Biase (* 1934 in Torano Castello ) is an Italian diplomat in retirement .

He studied law .

Diplomatic career

In 1964 he joined the foreign service. From 1968 to November 1974 he was second class legation secretary in Rawalpindi (Islamabad). From November 1974 he was secretary of legation in Beijing , where he 1978 financial support was. From June 1978 to July 15, 1981 he was employed in Rome, where he was appointed Counselor in January 1980. From July 15, 1981 to May 16, 1987 he headed the embassy in Colombo , where he was accredited as ambassador on November 21, 1986, at the same time he was accredited in Malè (Maldives). From May 24, 1987 to August 1989, he was ambassador to Managua . From August 1989 to January 19, 1992 he was employed in Rome with cultural relations.

From January 19, 1992 to December 29, 1996 he was ambassador to Luanda ( Angola ) and was also accredited to São Tomé ( São Tomé and Príncipe ).

From December 29th, 1996 to 2002 he was ambassador to San José (Costa Rica)
