The Svatá hora (German Holy Mountain , also Swataberg ) is a mountain in the Křižanovská vrchovina ( Krischanauer Bergland ) in the Czech Republic.
location
The mountain rises one kilometer southeast of Kadolec . Surrounding villages are Bojanov in the north, Heřmanov in the northeast, Rohy and Milešín in the east, Skřinářov in the south, Ořechov in the south and Kadolec in the west. The Bílý potok rises near Rohy . The mountain offers a wide view of the Krischanauer and Heinrichser Bergland. There is a memorial to St. Zdislava in the woods .
history
There used to be a village at the site of the Rohy forester's lodge to the east. This as well as the fortress Hrádek became extinct during the Hussite Wars.
Legends
According to ancient traditions, St. Zdislava von Lämberg wanted to live a life as a hermit in her youth in the woods of the Holy Mountain.
