Svein Arne Hansen

Svein Arne Hansen (born May 6, 1946 - June 20, 2020 in Oslo ) was a Norwegian sports official .

Hansen, who is a stamp dealer by profession , has been an athletics official in various offices since 1968. Among other things, he was director of the Bislett Games in Oslo from 1985 to 2009 . Since 2003 he has been President of the Norwegian Athletics Federation. In April 2015 he was elected President of the European Athletics Association EAA and succeeded the Swiss Hansjörg Wirz .

He died on June 20, 2020 after suffering a stroke .
