Svein Dag Hauge

Svein Dag Hauge (born October 23, 1959 ) is a Norwegian guitarist, songwriter and music producer.

Hauge started out as a drummer before switching to guitar at the age of sixteen. In 1977 he founded the jazz rock band Lava with the drummer Per Hillestad , the bassist Kjell Hestetun and the keyboardist Stein Eriksen , with which he released three albums - with a changing line-up. From 1983 the band toured for ten years with Randy Crawford u. a. through Japan, Australia, the United Arab Emirates, Zimbabwe and Swaziland and gave two concerts in the sold-out Royal Albert Hall . Alongside and afterwards a number of other albums of his own were created.

Hauge also worked with musicians such as Jahn Teigen , Trond-Viggo Torgersen , Eigil Berg , Marius Müller , Hilde Heltberg , Randi Hansen , Ketil Stokkan , Alf Kranner , Halvdan Sivertsen , Torhild Nigar , Maria Mena , Odd René Andersen and Pål Thowsen . In his studio ProTools emerged u. a. the albums Innerst i Sjelen by Sissel Kyrkjebø and Beneath My Skin by Trine Rein .
