Sven-Bertil Taube
Sven-Bertil Gunnar Evert Taube ( pronunciation : [ svɛnˌbæʈil ˈtoːb ], born November 24, 1934 in Stockholm ) is a Swedish singer and actor .
Live and act
Sven-Bertil Taube is the son of the famous Swedish poet and singer Evert Taube . He first attended school in Stockholm, but then switched to a school in the USA , where he also graduated in 1954. From 1959 to 1964 Sven-Bertil Taube trained as an actor in Stockholm, and also took guitar lessons in Spain .
In 1954, while still in the USA, Sven-Bertil Taube recorded his first record, songs by his father Evert Taube. In Sweden, Sven-Bertil Taube made many records from 1959, mainly with Swedish songs, whereby he was accompanied by a chamber orchestra - revolutionary for the time. Many of these recordings, including songs by Carl Michael Bellman , Nils Ferlin , Erik Axel Karlfeldt and, last but not least, Evert Taube, are now considered classics. The effect of these recordings is based not least on the sophisticated orchestral arrangements by Ulf Björlin , Sven-Bertil Taube's childhood friend.
Sven-Bertil Taube has lived in London for a long time and has appeared in English and American films , plays, musicals and television series since the 1970s . Since the 1990s, Sven-Bertil Taube has also played increasingly in Swedish films, for example in Bille August's 1996 film adaptation of Selma Lagerlöf's novel Jerusalem . Most recently, he played in the Swedish film adaptation of Stieg Larsson's novel Verblendung (Män som hatar kvinnor) Industrialist Henrik Vanger.
