Sven Andersson (artist)
Sven Anders Andersson (born April 23, 1838 in Ekeberga, today Lessebo municipality , Småland , Sweden ; † September 26, 1893 in Helsingborg , Skåne , Sweden) was a Swedish landscape painter and draftsman .
Life
Andersson studied painting at the Royal Danish Academy of Art in Copenhagen . Between 1861 and 1871 he stayed for further studies in Düsseldorf and Berlin . From 1873 to 1893 he was a teacher at Helsingborg grammar school. In the years 1881 to 1883 he published the magazine Vespan .
Andersson mainly created landscape paintings with motifs from Småland and Skåne. He also worked as a book illustrator.
