Sven Becker (born August 1, 1968 in Altenhundem ) is a German economist in the energy industry.

Life

Becker attended the Quirinus grammar school in Neuss . After high school he studied at the University of Kiel and at Trinity College Dublin economics . In 1988 he became active with André Simon in the Kiel Corps Palaiomarchia-Masovia . In 1994 he helped rebuild the Corps Palaiomarchia . In the same year, he was honored with the Klinggräff Medal by the Stifterverein Alter Corpsstudenten . The University of Chicago graduated with a Master of Business Administration . As a graduate economist , Becker entered the energy industry in 1993 as head of purchasing at Ruhrgas AG in Essen. From 1998 to the end of 2001 he worked for Enron in London, Oslo and Frankfurt am Main. From 2002 he worked at Statkraft , from 2003 to the end of 2004 as managing director. Since 2005 he has been spokesman for the management of Trianel . He is responsible for project development and generation, sales solutions for municipal utilities as well as the company's finance and accounting. Since 2009 he has been a guest lecturer for energy trading and risk management at RWTH Aachen University .
