Sven Johne

Sven Johne (* 1976 in Bergen on Rügen ) is a contemporary German artist .

life and work

From 1998 to 2006 Sven Johne studied photography at the University of Graphic and Book Art in Leipzig with Timm Rautert . His handling of photography is similar to that of a newspaper reporter. In the narratives, sometimes enriched with black humor, but also with affected sympathy, Sven Johne tracks down the dark sides of a society which, in all their cruel reality, form the basis for his work.

He lives and works in Berlin.
