Svenska Naturskyddsföreningen (short SNF , German "Swedish Nature Conservation Association") is a Swedish association that works for nature conservation . The association consists of 23 provincial associations, which are organized in 275 municipal associations. The number of members is around 170,000. The association is a member of the Seas at Risk Federation .

In 1909 the Svenska Naturskyddsföreningen was founded by professors interested in nature and other interested parties. At the beginning, the work was mainly limited to the protection of areas that were the habitat of threatened species . In the 1970s, with the emergence of the global environmental movement , the scope of the SNSF also expanded.

Today the SNSF awards z. As a kind of eco-label called Bra Miljöval , products and services that are environmentally sound, according to the association. The products include paper , laundry detergent , soap , shampoo and bleach, as well as services such as passenger and freight transport, electricity providers and grocery stores.

The youth organization of the SNSF is Fältbiologerna . However, the youth association acts independently of the SNSF and is organizationally autonomous.
