Svetozar Ćorović , ( Serbian - Cyrillic Светозар Ћоровић ; born May 29, 1875 in Mostar , † April 17, 1919 in Mostar) was a writer .

Life

He attended the business school in Mostar . Ćorović founded Zora magazine and was editor of Narod magazine .

Works

Ćorović is considered to be one of the most important authors in Herzegovina . He started out with patriotic poetry and wrote dramas , but is most important through his novels and stories, in which he realistically portrays life and the denominational and social problems of his homeland. The main work is the novel Stojan Mutikaša , in which the development of a farm boy into a petty bourgeois parvenu is told.
