The Swain Islands ( English Swain Islands or Swain Group ) are a group of small islands and reef rocks off the Budd coast of the East Antarctic Wilkesland . At the northeast end of the Windmill Islands archipelago , they extend 800 m north of the Clark Peninsula over a length of 3 km. This group includes Berkley Island , Burnett Island , Cameron Island , Hailstorm Island , Honkala Island , Bradford Rock , Green Rocks , Patterson Rock , Quinn Rock , Wonsey Rock , Magee Rock and Wyche Island .

They were first mapped on the basis of aerial photographs of US Operation Highjump (1946-1947) in February 1947. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names renamed it in 1956 by Kenneth C. Swain, participants in Operation High Jump, as a member of the Central Task Group and the operation Windmill (1947-1948).
