founding

The company was founded on June 22, 1946 as Josef Huber Elektroinstallationen KG by Josef Huber (1915–1965). Josef Huber's apartment in Munich was used as the company's headquarters, workshop and warehouse. The aim of his company was to supply repaired or newly built apartments, public buildings and facilities with light and electricity during the post-war period. One of the company's most important partners was the street lighting department of the city of Munich. In 1954 Josef Huber already employed 300 people. The success of his company can also be traced back to the fact that Josef Huber was a successful gymnast who also received the championship honor.

Signaling technology

Signalbau Huber München KG was entered in the commercial register on March 17, 1953 . The company was founded to manufacture and sell road traffic signaling systems . The fact that Josef Huber loaned employees from his company to the municipal street lighting department in Munich in the winter months of 1950/51 and 1951/52 led to the establishment of this company. All traffic signal systems for the city of Munich were built there. An official named Weyerich was the patent owner of these signal systems. However, he commissioned Josef Huber to build the signal systems so as not to endanger his official status.
