Sweat jacket

The sweat jacket is the name of a knitted jacket that can be closed with a zipper or buttons .

Conceptual

The word sweat comes from English and means " sweat " (or the verb form to sweat "to sweat ").

advantages

Compared to a pullover or sweatshirt , the sweat jacket has the advantage that it can be opened and thus the heat effect can be easily regulated and that the hairstyle is not impaired when the jacket is taken off.

Furthermore, the basic threads of the sweatshirt fabric are not thicker than those of a T-shirt , but the lining thread makes the goods thicker and warms them up. Since this fabric can be manufactured on high-performance machines and is normally made up, it is cheaper to produce than, for example, a coarse knit sweater .

disadvantage

The fiber of the lining thread is damaged by the mechanical stress of the shearing process , for this reason the fluffy inside becomes knotty and hard after prolonged use, as the fibers continue to break, so-called pilling . Thus, the warming function of the garment also decreases over time.
