Swen Gillberg

Swen Gillberg is an American film technician who specializes in visual effects and was nominated for an Oscar in 2012 .

Life

Gillberg holds a bachelor's degree in structural engineering from the University of California at Los Angeles . He joined Digital Domain in 1997 and has since worked on 19 films as a visual effects supervisor. His most successful work so far is the film Real Steel , for which he was nominated for an Oscar in the category Best Visual Effects for the first time in 2012 .

Gillberg currently resides in Los Angeles .
