The Swett Creek is a 12 km long stream in Garfield County in the State of Utah . It is formed by the confluence of Milk Creek and Gold Creek a little east of Utah State Route 276 and usually flows into Trachyte Bay in the northern part of Lake Powell . When the water level of the reservoir is low, as is currently the case (as of 2015), its water flows into Trachyte Creek . The creek drains the southeast slope of Mount Hillers as well as the northern and eastern slopes of Mount Holmes in the Henry Mountains .
Swett Creek runs in a slot canyon and mostly has no water, but develops into a raging river when it rains heavily. The upper part of the canyon has several narrow points, while the lower part is deeper and littered with boulders. However, it is easy to explore as there are no obstacles in the way.
At the confluence of South Fork Swett Creek you will also find the Hoskininni Monument , consisting of a 137 meter high rock with the image of Hoskininni , a chief of the Navajo Indians .
