Swiss Epic is an international mountain bike - stage race for two teams in the Swiss Alps . Together with the Absa Cape Epic and the Pioneer Race in New Zealand, it forms the Epic Series. It will be held in the categories women, men, mixed, masters (over 40 years) and grand masters (over 50 years).

The race will take place in the canton of Graubünden from 2019 to 2023 . The six destinations Arosa , Davos , Lenzerheide , Laax , Scuol and St. Moritz alternate as stage locations, with three locations each year becoming stage locations in the race, which will henceforth be called “Swiss Epic Graubünden” .

In 2019 the race led from Davos via St. Moritz and Lenzerheide to Davos. The five daily stages were a total of 350 kilometers and comprised 12,000 meters of altitude.

From 2014 to 2018 the competition was held in the canton of Valais under the name of the main sponsor as Perskindol Swiss Epic . After the first edition, the race was upgraded by the Union Cycliste Internationale to the hors categorie (SHC) , the highest racing class below the Mountain Bike World Cup .

In addition, the shortened racing format Swiss Epic Flow with the categories Ladies, Men and Mixed was held. In this format, some of the ascending mountain passages are covered by shuttle service. In 2014, these races were 300 kilometers long and 8,000 meters high.
