Svyatoslav III. (Russia)
Svyatoslav III. Vsevolodowitsch ( Russian Святослав Всеволодович ; * 1196 ; † 1252 ) was Grand Duke of Vladimir from 1246 to 1248 . He came from the Rurikids family and was the son of Vsevolod Jurjewitschs .
After his brother Yaroslav II was poisoned at the court of the Great Khan Batu , Svyatoslaw succeeded him as Grand Duke in accordance with the seniority principle . Yaroslav's sons Andrei and Alexander Newski protested at Batu. He decided that the two brothers should rule the principality together from 1248. Svyatoslav was deposed.
