Sydney Evans
Sydney Clifton "Sid" Evans (* 1881 in Aldermaston , † 8. January 1927 in Reading ) was a British boxer in the heavyweight division and silver medalist at the Summer Olympics in 1908 of London .
The boxing competitions of these Olympics resembled English championships with foreign participation; 33 of the 42 participants were from Great Britain. Evans defeated his compatriots Albert Ireton and Frederick Parks and moved into the final, where he lost to Albert Oldman and thus reached 2nd place.
