Albert Oldman
Albert Oldman (born November 18, 1883 in Mile End , † January 15, 1961 in Upminster ) was a British boxer .
At the Olympic Games in 1908 he took part in the heavyweight competition. He dominated his competition: he won the first fight after knockout in the first minute. After benefiting from a bye in the semifinals, he stepped on fellow countryman Sydney Evans in the final . He knocked him out after only two minutes.
Oldman served in the Royal Horse Guards and later became a City of London Police officer . In 1910 he emigrated to Ceylon, today's Sri Lanka , and also worked there for the police.
