Ronald Rawson Rawson (born June 17, 1892 , † March 30, 1952 ) was a British boxer who celebrated his greatest success with the gold medal in 1920 in the heavyweight division.

Ronald Rawson attended Westminster School in London from 1906 to 1911 and then Trinity College in Cambridge, where he began boxing. In the First World War he fought from 1914 to 1919 as an officer in the telecommunications force . He was awarded the Military Cross and was promoted to lieutenant in 1915 and to captain in 1917.

He began boxing again after the war, winning the Amateur Boxing Association of England heavyweight title in 1920 and 1921 . His greatest success, however, remained the gold medal in the heavyweight division at the 1920 Olympic Games in Antwerp. In the final he defeated Søren Petersen . Despite his gold medal, Rawson did not start a professional career. After his participation in the World War, however, he played 28 amateur fights, all of which he won, all but one by knockout .
