Søren Peter Petersen (born December 6, 1894 in Kolding , Denmark , † 1945 in Belgium ) was a Danish heavyweight boxer .
Søren Petersen first took part in the Olympic Games in Antwerp in 1920 and won the silver medal after losing to Ronald Rawson in the final . However, he did not become a professional boxer, but remained an amateur and was therefore able to participate in the Olympics again four years later. At the 1924 Games in Paris he fought his way back to the final, but lost to the Norwegian Otto von Porat . After these Olympics he became a professional boxer, but could not win any more titles. Of his 16 professional fights, he won eight, including three by knockout, lost seven, including six by knockout , one fight ended in a draw. He fought his last fight on February 29, 1932.
