Sylvia Bonitz

Sylvia Bonitz b. Hartmann (* 2. July 1966 in Hannover ) is a German politician of the CDU and former member of the German Bundestag .

Life

Sylvia Bonitz graduated from the Hölty-Gymnasium in Wunstorf in 1985. This was followed from 1985 to 1988 by training at the Lower Saxony University of Applied Sciences for Administration and Justice in Hildesheim for high-level general administrative services. She graduated in 1988 with a degree in administration. From 1988 to 1995 she was employed by the city of Neustadt am Rübenberge and then until 1998 personal assistant to the city director of Hildesheim.

Sylvia Bonitz joined the Junge Union in 1982 and has been a member of the CDU since 1985.

From 1998 to 2002 she was a member of the Bundestag for one electoral term. It was for the CDU on the national list Lower Saxony selected. In its Bundestag constituency Hameln-Pyrmont - Holzminden , the SPD won the direct mandate. In the Bundestag she was a full member of the Interior Committee , Petitions Committee and Subcommittee on New Media .

In 2006 she ran unsuccessfully for the office of mayor in Bad Iburg .
