Sylvia Vandermeer

Sylvia Vandermeer , actually Sylvia Meierewert (* 1968 in Zeitz ) is a German painter and qualified economist who lives and works in Vienna and the Baltic Sea resort of Binz .

Life

After graduating from high school, she studied business administration at the University of Passau from 1990 to 1995 , completed her doctorate in 1998 and qualified as a professor in 2007 at the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration with a special focus on intercultural management. From 1998 to 2009 she was a member of the staff of the European Institute (Jean Monnet Center of Excellence) at the Vienna University of Economics and Business and was a lecturer in higher education in Austria, Germany and Switzerland as well as in an interdisciplinary and international network of scientists in Europe and the USA involved. In 2001 she started a diploma course at the University of Vienna in the subjects of biology and psychology. In 2004 she completed her training as a painter with Michael Fuchs and Daniel Friedemann under the direction of Ernst Fuchs in Vienna.

Since 2008 Vandermeer has been a member of the jury of the "Art in Prison" competition.
