Synagogue (Bar-le-Duc)
The synagogue in Bar-le-Duc , a French city in the Lorraine region , was built in 1870/71. The synagogue at No. 16 quai Sadi-Carnot was classified as a Monument historique in 2013 .
description
The synagogue was built in the Moorish style according to plans by the architect Charles Demoget . The building of dressed stone is of a gabled roof covered. The tablets of the law are attached to the top of the gable . The portal has a Hebrew inscription. The horseshoe arch above the portal rests on two narrow columns . The facade is pierced by a rose window with a Star of David .
